Lucky winner course-walks Speed Derby track at Hickstead with Ben Maher
Winner of a 'Your Horse' competition experienced an exhilarating (yet wet!) VIP day at Hickstead recently. Despite the heavy rain falls, Barnsby sponsored rider, Ben Maher gladly walked her through the challenges the Speed Derby course brings. Ben is the expert, having won the Speed Derby at Hickstead two years running in 2005 and 2006. Unfortunately this year his Speed Derby winning horse Mercurius was out of action due to injury and he rode Onasis II, a less experienced horse.
