Keen to support Britain’s equestrian talent for the future, Barnsby are proud to announce their sponsorship of Laura Collett, a young event rider who is undoubtedly one of the brightest young talents around.

Even though she is still just 18 years old, Laura has already won several eventing medals, including team gold and individual bronze at the 2005 Pony European Championships, two Junior European individual titles in 2006 and 2007 as well as team silver in 2006 and team gold in 2007. Laura has also shown that she has what it takes to compete and win against some of the world’s top senior riders - in 2006 she won the CCI** at Tweseldown riding Fernhill Sox and in doing so became the youngest rider ever to win an International Two-Star Three-Day Event.

Laura is on the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Start and Potential Eventing programme, which has been developed to provide an established development pathway for young, talented riders. This year her ambitions remain as high as ever as she aims to be selected for the Young Riders European Team.

Barnsby have tailor made a fantastic Barnsby Xtreem Event saddle and a Barnsby Lorenzo Dressage saddle to fit Laura and her horses perfectly.

Laura said "I’m really excited at the prospect of working with Barnsby. They’re experts in their field and their advice is invaluable to the comfort and performance of my horses. I know with Barnsby that my horses get the best equipment to enhance performance. My Xtreem saddle is really lightweight and is fantastic for cross country as there’s no extra, unnecessary weight. It’s a really solid and trustworthy saddle and I love riding in it. For dressage, I choose the Lorenzo dressage saddle and it is fantastic! It gives you the feeling that you are close to your horse. It also enables you to sit deep and wrap your lower leg around the horses side and I feel it has already improved my position in the dressage phase.”
