2nd placing for Wayne & Lorenzo at the FEI Rolex World Cup Finals in Las Vegas

Barnsby’s sponsored Dressage rider, Wayne Channon competed recently at the FEI Rolex World Cup Finals in Las Vegas which ran 18th – 21st of April. Riding for Britain on Lorenzo (1993 black stallion by Ferrox out of Wolfgang) with his newly designed Barnsby ‘Lorenzo’ Saddle, he came home with a fantastic result of 2nd placing in the Dressage Grand Prix Freestyle B-Final with a final score of 68.5%.
Based in Belgium and trained by Kyra Kyrkland and Bert Rutten, Wayne’s current World Ranking is 33. Highlights of his career to date include winning the World Cup Qualifier in Lipica last year and winning the Sunshine Tour in 2005.
Barnsby’s new ‘Lorenzo’ saddle was specifically designed by Wayne with the aim of providing a saddle with a deeper seat. The saddle gives support without getting in the way thus providing a closer experience for the rider. Wayne comments on using his Lorenzo saddle on his horse “his paces feel looser and I am able to collect with greater refinement”.
