James Hitchen, Qualified Saddle Fitter and Managing Director of Barnsby Saddlery
James started at Barnsby at the tender age of fifteen sweeping the floors of the saddle shop. Apprenticed under Master Saddler John Hammond and Oliver Morton, James became a bench saddler at Barnsby before going off to University to complete a Business degree. James learnt to ride through the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery and has sat on the Executive of the Society Master Saddlers for 7 years. In 2008 he was proud to be made the youngest ever President of the Society.
